Mrs. Jaclyn Vander Veen, LMFT, PPSC

I am honored to be your student’s school counselor. I have experience in the mental health field providing services to children and their families. During this experience, I have had the opportunity to work closely with many school districts, community agencies, and local hospitals. I presented at the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) conference and at the Alvord Unified Learning Summit. I was the 2018 Alvord Unified School District Elementary school counselor of the year, the 2023 Elementary School counselor of the year, and the 2023 District School counselor of the year.

As your student’s school counselor, I offer support in the areas of academic achievement, social and emotional development, and college and career planning.  I am passionate about the work I do and I look forward to helping students develop healthy perceptions of themselves and to believe in their ability to learn.
